As part of my studies, I am required to take a class in Communications. For your entertainment, here is the speech on self-concept I gave on Monday to my freshman classmates.
Great Job Melissa, A++ As always, you have made us super proud. You will surely be a real inspiration to many students and their favourite teacher, we have no doubt. Love - Colin & Carolyn
Nice job, Melissa. Very understated and convincing. A speech from the heart. You obviously have been reading my blog. ;-)
I would encourage you to go back and watch the video and note the differences between the way you spoke with your prepared notes and the way you spoke when answering questions. Both were good, but notice how much more animated you were when answering the questions. You used gestures and vocal variety and facial expressions and more.
It was terrific and I have no doubt that you could be like that all the time for all your speeches. Fewer notes and more spontaneity - something to shoot for!
Well....that's definitely an A+.
ReplyDeleteYeah, Melissa. You did a grrrreat job.
